ELECTED released today on AMAZON in ebook version and KICKSTARTER for the hardcover and printed copies, and I am absolutely floored by the response.  I promised I would keep you all up-to-date on how the book is doing and give you the ins and outs of publishing as I went through it. So far:  on AMAZON the book is ranking really well.  I can't see the sales yet because those have a few day delay, but by the ranking of 20K (which moved from 1,000,000 when the book first released) I can tell that sales are good.  The goal for today is to get ELECTED into the top 100, so we still have time!!!...

The Importance of Reviews on Amazon

Authors appreciate receiving reviews on Amazon for a number of reasons that I'm not sure the average person even realizes.  First and foremost, reviews help a book's ranking on Amazon. Do you know how Amazon provides you recommendations?  When you're buying a book, there's always a list of other novels Amazon thinks you'd like.  They base it off your buying preferences but also upon other books' rankings.  If you like paranormal romance, they'll show you other highly ranked works in the same genre.
