Johnny Depp Launching Publishing Imprint with Harper

How cool would it be to get published in general…but how super cool would it be to get published by Johnny Depp?  (Do you think the authors get to meet him?)

Since Johnny Depp has been in so many films that were adapted from novels, he’s launching a division of HarperCollins called Infinitum Nihil.  That’s the same name as his production company, and translated it means “nothing is forever”.  This is the production company, which had a hand in the films “The Rum Diary” (adapted from the novel by Hunter S. Thompson), “Hugo” (adapted from the children’s book by Brian Selznick), and “Dark Shadows” and “The Lone Ranger,” both film remakes of old television shows.

HarperCollins said Depp will look for “authentic, outspoken and visionary ideas and voices.”   The first book they’re working on is The Unraveled Tales of Bob Dylan, written by best-selling author Douglas Brinkley.
