Book Giveaways and Contests

Book Contests, Free Stuff, and Winners

This post is packed with fun info about book freebies!

First off, the winner of the my blog post on heroes was Mary Preston.  For commenting on the post, she won an ebook of ELECTED.  The Silence in the Library Publishing Kickstarter for the anthology of hero short stories is still going on, but there are only hours left.  At this point, so many stretch goals have been reached that anyone who pays $5 gets not only the anthology but also a bunch of other free books and short stories (at least 5 more, I think!)  One of those is Vincent Morrone’s paranormal romance, Vision of Shadows, which I read about a year ago and really liked.  The teenage girl’s voice in there is pretty darn authentic.

Next, I have a contest running for the next month on goodreads.  Anyone  in the US can enter to win one of five signed paperback copies of ELECTED!  That contest goes until July 25th.

The kickstarter paperback and hardcover copies of ELECTED from my kickstarter are being printed and should be sent in the next month or two.  Can’t wait for all of you who backed me to receive your copy and see your name written into the book!!!  All backers should have received the link to download their copy of the ebook through update #9 of the kickstarter.  If you didn’t receive that, but you were a backer, let me know.

Further, one of my other writer friends, S.T. Bende has a novella, called TUR, up for free on Amazon.  It’s a book written in the world of her full-length novel, ELSKER, about the Norse god of winter.

Last, I want to give teenagers the opportunity to read ELECTED for free.  If you are a teenager and can somehow prove it to me through your twitter or Facebook page, I’ll send you an ebook of ELECTED for FREE.  First 10 teenagers to write back to this post automatically win the book!

And last, if you are a writer and have some other free promotion or contest going on for your book, feel free to write it into the comments of this post.  The more the merrier!
